My location

When anyone at school asks me where my apartment is, I say that it's behind BBQ Chicken, a restaurant on the main street in front of the school. In spite of what you might assume that the BBQ stands for, according to the window of the place, BBQ means "best believable quality".

  1. Are signs written in English common there?

  2. Yes, English, especially on signs, is very common here, although I don't think most Mongolians speak any. I've come to see English not as "my" language, but as an international language that many travelers can expect to be able to understand. This has really become apparent on this trip.
