Some of the commercials on TV use Christmas carols as the background music. I've heard "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Deck the Halls", both used in decidedly un-Christmassy commercials.
Perhaps because the tunes are public domain... If Mongolians don't sing Christmas carols, they won't know the significance of the tunes. But usually the tunes are tied in with the product, re-enforcing the product in the prospective consumer's mind. Odd.
